Operation Iraqi Freedom II

Liaison Officers and NCOs outside the main palace.

LNOs were stuffed into one of buildings at the palace compound in Tikrit, Iraq. Marble floors included.

CPT Sonner, 30th Brigade LNO, next to the Tigris River. The drop to the river below was quite dramatic.

The insurgents would occasionally attack Danger with indirect fire weapons. This mortar attack landed outside the perimeter and into Tikrit.

World War II era Sherman tank located inside a compound of the 4th Infantry Divison. Not sure if they brought it from the States or found it.
